Getting Ready For a Trip

This has been one of the biggest challanges of my life. Leaving home for 3 months has proven to be quite a chore. I have had to make sure I have meds for 3 months, plus numerous other things. Packing up my dogs and getting them to where they are supposed to stay for the next 3 months was almost as challanging as getting my children ready to go somewhere. I made myself a list of all the things I think we will need, but I feel I may have left something of the list. I suppose as long as there is Wal-Mart or Target along the way, I shall not worry about it.

I am definately ready to leave this heat. Skip and I have been to Crested Butte before, but we have never been to the camp grounds where we will be staying this year. From what we found on Google Earth, it looks to be a wonderful place. We shall see. There is a lake there so Skip will be able to fish, his favorite past-time activity. We are taking games with us since there will be no TV or cell phones or internet. Being without the internet will be a big challange for me. We will be about 6-10 miles from town and I will be able to use my cell phone and internet service when we are in town.

Another big thing for us is we have never been camp hosts before and this is all new to us. I think we will enjoy it and if we do we will probably do this again until we are to old to camp any more. I will take lots of pictures and post to f/b and here as well if I can figure out how to do that. Another challange to say the least. I will now say so long to Texas for a few months, even though I am not gone yet, and will reconnect with the whole world in September.
